\nManaging director Andr\u00e9 van Kruijssen explained the 2024 figures. The 8.5 per cent increase in product sales was mainly accounted for by intermediation (+15 per cent). Auction clock sales rose 2 per cent. Within the clock, the online share (KOA, KVV) increased again.
\nIn 2024, Plantion faced a sharp increase in costs, but higher service sales meant we still ended the year with a positive result. The members discharged the board for its policies.<\/p>\n
Member loan<\/strong> State of affairs 2025<\/strong>
\nAn update of the cooperative’s statutes was also on the agenda. The main change is an adjustment to the member loans. Before, this was capped at \u20ac30,000 per member; but now the loan is unlimited. This change helps Plantion in two ways: increased opportunities to invest in Plantion’s future with its own funds, and more direct involvement of members in those investments. \nFor 2025 and after, Andr\u00e9 van Kruijssen declared the following important goals: increasing the product range, making the chain more sustainable, increased use of data and professionalising intermediation. With specific customer teams for florists, garden centres and retail, Plantion aims to serve its customers even better. Finding sufficient distribution staff remains a concern.
\nMajor ongoing projects include the new information platform My Plantion, the transition to another auction system, the phasing out of EAB and the implementation of Power BI. Product sales up until June are aligned with those of 2024.<\/p>\n
