First edition of Floréda attracts over 500 visitors at Plantion
From March 9 to 11, 2026, the first edition of Floréda took place at Plantion in Ede. This new purchasing event for florists, garden centers, and market traders brought together suppliers, growers, and trade professionals around the current seasonal offerings in flowers, plants, and related products.
During the three-day purchasing and inspiration event, visitors were able to gain inspiration, discover new collections, and make direct purchases from various exhibitors in the sector.
One of the highlights of Floréda was the Dutch National Floral Art Championship, held on Monday and Tuesday under the guidance of VBW. Participants showcased their creativity and craftsmanship in a spectacular competition, adding extra audience engagement and inspiration to the event.
On Wednesday afternoon, a sustainability conference took place. Various speakers addressed certification and sustainably grown products, providing visitors with practical insights for creating a more sustainable assortment.
With more than 500 industry visitors, the organizers look back on a successful first edition. Floréda provided a platform where inspiration, networking, and purchasing came together—exactly what the sector needs.
“It was wonderful to see how many professionals from the sector made their way to Plantion,” said the organizers. “Floréda was designed as an accessible and inspiring purchasing event for the green trade, and the feedback from both visitors and exhibitors has been very positive.”
Floréda is an initiative by Plantion, Plantion Wholesale Center, Smithers-Oasis, VBW, and TICA. With the first edition, a new industry event has been created 'right in the heart of the floral business.
In the coming period, the purchasing and inspiration days will be evaluated. At a later date, it will be announced if and when a second edition of Floréda will take place.
